What is Ethiopian Fatira
Ethiopian fatira is a sweet pastry dish made with layers of dough, melted butter, and a spiced honey syrup.

Ingredients For Ethiopian Fatira
-1 cup plus 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour
-1 teaspoon of active dry yeast
-1/4 teaspoon of sugar
-3/4 cup of warm water
-1 teaspoon of salt
-2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
-1/2 cup of melted butter
-1/4 cup of honey

Instructions on how to make Ethiopian Fatira
1. In a large bowl, mix together 1 cup of all-purpose flour, active dry yeast, sugar, and warm water. Stir until combined.

2. Cover the bowl with a damp towel, and set aside to rise for 1 hour.
3. After the hour, add in the remaining 2 tablespoons of flour, salt, vegetable oil, and stir until all ingredients are combined.
4. Knead the dough for 8-10 minutes until it becomes smooth.
5. Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise for an additional hour.
6. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
7. After the hour, place the dough on a lightly floured surface and roll it out into a circle about 1/4 inch thick.
